Many of the words in the Christmas tree reflect what MELD and the holidays are all about! Moms, dads, children and families coming together for guidance and support. MELD is here to provide housing and shelter, parenting education and like skills.
Thanks to our dedicated staff and your generosity, countless young families have received the necessary support to achieve a life they may have only dreamed of. Hopelessness and despair replaced with the joy, gratitude, peace and confidence to lead responsible rewarding lives.
While successes have been many over the years, there is much more to be done. We want to bring the gift of hope to as many of those in need that we possibly can. With this in mind, in January 2017, MELD will be merging with Youth Services Network, an agency MELD has partnered with since our homeless shelter opened in 1989. Their mission to develop, provide and coordinate services that improve the physical, psychological and social well-being of youth blends well with MELD’s purpose and mission. By “MELDing” our two agencies together, all of the programs of both will be enhanced and expanded. It’s a synergistic WIN-WIN for all concerned!
